VILLAGE SAVINGS & LOAN (VSL) ACTIVITIE
With support from ActionAid Nigeria, FOMWAN sensitized and mobilized women in Bauchi, Gombe, Jigawa and Plateau States to form groups and establish Village Savings and Loan (VSL) schemes.
The women received training on savings, loans, group management, record keeping and accountability. Savings and cash books were also distributed to elected group leaders to support proper documentation.
The initiative is empowering women to save regularly, access small loans and strengthen their businesses and livelihoods in their communities.
Together, we are strengthening women’s economic empowerment and resilience.
