Report on sensitization lectures on Lassa fever conducted on 28/3/2026 during post Ramadan Tafsir.

Location: Government Arabic College Gombe (GAC 1).

Professional Institution: NCDC staff Gombe office, in person of Hamza Alhaji Musa and Disease Surveillance Notification Officers (DSNO) for the eleven LGAs.

Key Messages, Meaning of lassa fever, symptoms when contacted with the virus,mode transmission of the disease, effect of the disease on humans and preventive method.

Attendance:GAC 1, 395 women and more than 100 women in each of the eleven LGAs.

Some questions asked:- 1, Can rat bite be considered a communicable disease? 2, Can person contact lassa fever because of using dry tuwo leftover?.

The lassa fever awareness campaign was carried out with in the state and it’s eleven LGAs.
