With Health as one of it’s thematici area, the Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations in Nigeria (FOMWAN) National Executive is currently engaged in an important sensitization meeting in collaboration with the National Disease Control Centre, focusing on the prevention and control of Lassa Fever.
The session aims to raise awareness about the spread of the disease, preventive measures, and the role of communities in combating its transmission, particularly during the ongoing Ramadan period.
By leveraging the platform provided by FOMWAN’s Ramadan Tafsirs currently going on in every chapter in the country, FOMWAN is expected to work with Health Authorities in the states and Local Government areas to ensure that important health messages reach wider audiences to take a protective measures. FOMWAN is committed to promoting public Health and empowering the communities with knowledge they need to stay safe.
It is expected that the states with outbreak would would come with plans of engagement for a successful Sensitisation.
